Glory is a game about crime in early modern England. In a time when theft carried the punishment of death, would-be-burglars would want every advantage they could get- some even resorting to unsavory, magical means. A hand of glory was a lantern made from a hanged criminal's hand. The early grimoire The Petite Albert explains that it freezes anyone who sees it in their tracks.

Use your occult knowledge to outwit servants and guards in manor houses to steal enough to live, but be careful- or you'll be caught and hung.
